Research Databases and Online Tools

A database offers quick access to reliable, accurate and authoritative information that has been gathered together in one place. Because of the tremendous volume and often questionable quality of much of the information found in a standard web search, a database gives the researcher a one-stop place to find information that is written, reviewed and/or edited by experts in a given field.  All databases are readily accessible at any Northshore school.  To access a database at home, each student should obtain log-in information from his/her school librarian.
