Submit an E-Flier

We receive many requests from local non-profit organizations to distribute program fliers. District Policy 4320 specifies that such information must relate to schools, school programs, or non-school programs offered by non-profit organizations that, in the district's opinion, have social, recreational or educational value to students. E-fliers for student programs (including E-fliers to teachers about student programs) will be accepted for posting on the district website from September through the last school day in May of the current school year.

Requirements for Consideration

E-fliers must meet the following standards:

  • Produced by a non-profit, non-commercial organization operating for youth
  • Serving or appealing to the majority of Northshore youth
  • Be non-commercial, secular, free of objectionable advertising and contain no requests for donations or solicitations of service
  • Be free of objectionable advancement of the name, product, or special interest of the sponsoring organization

All organizations, including district and school groups, PTA/PTSA, school-support organizations and nonprofit organizations wishing to distribute information to students must have their e-fliers approved through the Communications Department, following all rules and guidelines designated for each group.

Requirements for Submission

To submit a package for E-flier approval, please provide the following:

  • an accessible PDF document
  • e-flier/poster must include required district disclaimer at TOP OF FLIER, font = ARIAL BOLD, size 10
  • organization's phone number must be included on the flier, as well as any other contact information if available
  • signed agreement of understanding for current school year
  • current proof of non-profit status
  • define intended audience of other than all-district distribution

Ready to Submit?

An accessible PDF of the e-flier should be sent electronically to Cecilia Shumate at All other required documents should be submitted to the Communication Department either electronically to, mailed to 3330 Monte Villa Parkway, Bothell, WA 98021 or faxed to 425-408-7675.

Required documentation will be kept on file in the Communication Department for the current school year. Organizations seeking approval of succeeding fliers need only submit an accessible PDF of the new flier electronically and a list of their intended audience.

Posting & Delivery Timeline

Submit your materials to the Communication Department at least one week ahead of the desired posting date. Upon approval, the district will provide the non-profit with an approval sheet.

Approved E-fliers will be posted on Mondays, excluding holidays, non-student days and student breaks. E-fliers for student programs (including E-fliers to teachers about student programs) will be accepted for posting on the district website from September through the last school day in May of the current school year.

Paper Copies for Schools

Organizations may provide 20 paper copies of their approved E-flier for each approved school's resource table. Package 20 paper E-fliers and a copy of the district-provided approval sheet into a manila envelope; one envelope for each school. Seal and label the envelope with the school's name. Please bring a loose copy of the E-flier and the approval sheet for check-in with the receptionist. Deliver the envelopes to the Administration Center receptionist for courier delivery to the schools. The Administration Center is located at 3330 Monte Villa Parkway, Bothell, WA 98021. Personal deliveries to the schools will not be accepted.

The district makes no guarantees, implied or otherwise, concerning the timeliness of E-flier posting and/or delivery of paper fliers.
