Bothell High Athletic Director Named District Two Athletic Director of the Year

Congratulations to Bothell High School’s Athletic Director Yonni Mills, who was recently named Athletic Director of the Year for District Two.  With this selection, Mills will move on to consideration at the state level, which will be determined at a state meeting in April.

When asked what the recognition means to her, Mills said, “I am just shocked, and humbled and overwhelmed.  It’s all about the people you work with and I work with great people.”

District Two is comprised of the Metro, KingCo, SeaTac and Emerald City leagues.  Earlier this year Mills was named Athletic Director of the Year for KingCo. Each region in District Two submitted their nominations and Mills was voted the winner by the District Two board.  When making a selection, the board considers the nominee’s involvement in things such as the league, regional and state playoff events, and the state association.

“We are all very excited for Yonni and the honors that have been given to her so far,” said Inglemoor Athletic Director Lance Gatter.  “We know that she will represent us well at the State meeting in April.”
